About Martin...

I have two main passions in life – fell walking and photography. So it wasn’t a difficult decision to combine the two and produce the images that you find in the attached galleries.
I moved to digital photography approximately three years ago and currently use a Canon EOS 5D along with a variety of lenses and filters. I find that digital images allow me to best capture the many changing moods and light conditions that are encountered throughout the seasons. I use Adobe Photoshop for limited post capture editing then print, mount and frame all photographs myself. This allows me to maintain the highest possible quality at the best possible prices.
I live in Broughton near Preston with my wife Sheila and our 15 year old daughter Rebecca. Our eldest daughter Debbie lives and works in London. We have a log cabin at Bassenthwaite near Keswick where we spend as much time as we possibly can and where we can all meet up together as a family. We all love fell walking, particularly on the Lake District hills and it is from this base that I take most of my photographs.
The galleries are a work in progress that hopefully will never be completed. It doesn’t matter how many times you visit the area it’s never the same twice. There’s always something different to see whatever the weather conditions. Please check back regularly to see my latest work and, of course, don’t hesitate to contact me if you need any more information.
